Mrs. Rose Johnston, 73 years old, 1607 Seventh avenue, Moline, died at 3:50 o'clock this morning at Lutheran hospital. She was born in southern Illinois on March 31, 1857 and was married to Henry C. Johnston on Sept. 9, 1877. She had lived in Moline and the vicinity for the last 25 years. Mrs. Johnston was a member of the First Christian church of Moline.
Surviving are the widower; five sons, Judson, Charles, Ralph and Carl in the Tri Cities and Alvin in Georgia; a daughter, Mrs. Arthur Hoover of Moline; 22 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. One daughter, Carrie preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at Esterdahl chapel, Moline. Rev. W. B. Slater pastor of the First Christian church, Moline will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island.
