Louise Cartwright Brown, 91, of Woodbury passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019 at her home. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the chapel of Cox Funeral Home, Manchester with Rev. Scotty Fowler officiating. Interment will follow in the Cove Baptist Church Cemetery with John Brown, Tyler Brown, Tim Brown, Chad Fuller, Shaun Johnson and Sandy Johnson serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 pm prior to the service.
Mrs. Brown was born August 15, 1927 in Woodbury, the daughter of Rufus Cartwright and Floy Young Cartwright. She married Ellis Lamar Brown in 1944 and raised her family in the Cove Community. Mrs. Brown was a member of Cove Baptist Church. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and fishing. In her later years, she loved living close to her children and helping raise her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Brown, an infant daughter, Patricia Brown and her granddaughter, Patricia Faye Brown.
Survivors include her children, Lamar Brown and his wife, Mary of Woodbury, Larry Brown and his wife, Brenda of Woodbury, Sue Ferrell and her husband, John of Thomaston, Barry Brown of Woodbury; six grandchildren, John Brown, Tammy Fuller, Tim Brown, Shaun Johnson, Sandy Johnson, Tiffany Ferrell and seven great grandchildren.
