Services for Ralph H. Mensching, 75, of Plano, Texas, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at St. John Lutheran Church, 1000 Linneman Road, Mount Prospect. He will lie in state from 10 a.m. until the time of the services.

Born March 31, 1925, in Des Plaines, he died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, at North Central Medical Center in McKinney, Texas. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Mount Prospect.

Mr. Mensching was a former diesel mechanic for the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad. He was a World War II Navy veteran, an elder at St. John Lutheran Church, and a former member of the St. John Lutheran Church Finance Board and Cemetery Board.

He was the husband of the late Ardell; father of Roger Sr. (Maryann) Mensching of Plano, and Barbara Mensching and Cheryl Mensching, both of Streamwood; grandfather of Roger Jr. (Leslie) Mensching of Allen, Texas, Michelle (John) Fults of Frisco, Texas and Kristin Mensching of Plano; and brother of Donna (Roger) Lietzau of Des Plaines.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Hwy., Arlington Heights.

Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church, 1000 Linneman Road, Mount Prospect, IL 60056.
