Oliver H. Arnett was born April 18, 1883 at Phillips, Nebraska, and passed away in his home at Fresno, California, October 9, 1959.

He lived in Keya Paha County, Nebraska many years before moving to Bassett in 1929. On June 4, 1930, he was united in marriage with Mary Darnell.

He was a member of the Bassett Methodist Church and a member of the Bassett Masonic Lodge.

In his youth he farmed, and in later years he was in the produce business.

His wife passed away January 27, 1955.

On March 23, 1956, he was united in marriage to Pearl Marshall of Fresno, California. They returned to Bassett from California for a short time, and then moved to Fresno to make their permanent home. While living there he became a member of the Bethany Methodist Church of Fresno.

Surviving are his wife, Pearl; a foster daughter, Mrs. Helen Sage of Redonda Beach, California; one half-brother Chester Kay of Fresno, California; a niece Doris Aden, Omaha, Nebraska; two nephews, Chester Arnett, Omaha, Nebraska and Emmett Bauder of Huron, South Dakota; other relatives and many friends
