Edward Lee "Pete" Yerbey Jr., 62, of Rogersville, died Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at Huntsville Hospital.
The funeral service will be Friday, June 23, at 4 p.m., with visitation from 2-4 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home and burial in the adjoining cemetery. Pallbearers will be Nicholas, Jordan, Dylan Yerbey and Jacob, Brad and Murray Strickland.
Pete was a former employee of Nichols Wire, Florence, of 43 years and the owner of Elys Hobbies in Florence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Lee "Dunk" and Joyce Yerbey Sr., and Sue Holland; and a sister, Linda Gayle Yerbey.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Strickland Yerbey, of Rogersville; sons, Thomas Lee (Lisa) Yerbey, Edward Keith (Tammy) Yerbey, both of Florence, Kevin Dale Yerbey, of Tuscumbia, and Samuel Bradford Yerbey, of Rogersville; daughter, Penny Denise Yerbey, of North Carolina; brother, Dennis (Charlotte) Yerbey, of Florence; grandsons, Nicholas, Jordan, Jake, Dustin, Dylan, Seth, Gavin, Tyler and Brysan; granddaughters, Jessica, Lakin, Kaylee and Bryanna; father and mother-in-law, Billy and Jimmie Strickland, of Rogersville; and a special nephew, Jacob Strickland.
