Mr. James McDowell died very suddenly at his home in Ojo, August 25, 1913, aged 65 years. The interment was at LaVeta on thursday, august 28th.
Mr. McDowell was born in Ayrshire, Scotland in 1848 and upon attaining manhood came to America.
He was married to the sweetheart of his youth at Sharon, Penn., and soon after came to Colorado, settling first at Erie, but for the last fifteen years had been a resident of this county. Mr. McDowell was a devoted and loving husband and father, an earnest Christian and a good citizen.
