b. 6 July 1887 – d. 13 May 1935, Jackson Co., TN, md on the 8th of March 1906, Jackson Co., TN to Martin Luther Roberts, b. 3 November 1883 – d. 1 April 1966. Frances (Allen) Roberts, d/o Elijah Stevens Allen (1858-1952)& Mary Catherine Hamilton.

Lou Vina (Roberts) Allen (1911-1996); Lester Elmer Roberts (1913-1999); Beulah Martha Roberts (1914-1999); Lola B. (Roberts) Mayberry (1916-2006); Lena May Roberts (1921-2010); Carlin George Roberts (1923-1923); Walter Edward James Roberts (1924-2006) & Dorothy Marie (Roberts) Allen (1926-2008).

Mrs. Francis Roberts, 46, died at her home near Dodson's Branch, Monday night, May 13th at 6:30. She had been in failing health for 17 months. She bore her sickness with patience until the Lord called her.
She was married to Mr. Luther Roberts in 1906. She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church for many years and was a true, honorable, upright Christian mother and will be missed in her church and home.
She is survived by her husband and ten children; her father, Mr. Lige Allen; 2 grandchildren; one brother,
Mr. George Allen, of Detroit; 3 half brothers, Dan, Zerry and Harve Allen, of Dodson Branch; 2 half sisters, Mrs. Alvin Hix and Mrs. Marvin Ramsey and one sister, Mrs. Sanford Mayberry, who preceded her in death in 1929. Besides these many other relatives and friends mourn her death.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday moring at 11:00 o'clock at Dodson Branch by Eld. Dawson Hammons, assisted by Eld. Birdwell Caruthers and interment was in the Dodson Branch cemetery.
The large crowd attending the funeral and the many lovely flowers gave evidence of the high esteem in which she was held.
