Paul Jahnke, 96 Dies in Hastings
Funeral services were held Wednesday at Merten Butler Funeral Chapel for Paul Fredrick Jahnke. The Rev. Gertrude M. McCallum officated with interment in the Blue Hill Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Larry Gestring, Ron Gestring, Lynn Alber, Gerald Alber, Pat Danehey and Bob Malick.
Jahnke was born on January 8, 1878 in Hamburg, Germany and died on October 28, 1974, in Hastings.
He was a retired farmer from Cowles, but had resided at the Good Samaritan Village for some time.
Survivors are 5 sisters, Mrs. Louise Alber of Hastings, Matilda, Johanna, Henny and Elsa all of Hamburg, Germany.
