Viola Mae (Eaton) Bolinger, 73, retiree of the Union National Bank and Bartlesville resident for the past 43 years, died Saturday at 11:05 p.m. in Heritage Manor.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of The Arnold Moore Funeral residence. Rev. Ralph O. Dershem will officiate. Committal prayers and interment will be directed in the Memory Park by The Arnold Moore Funeral Service.
A native of Oklahoma, Viola Mae Eaton was born Aug. 2, 1915, at Porter in Wagoner County. She was the daughter of Edward Daniel and Mae Elizabeth (Wagner) Eaton. When she was four years old, the Eaton Family moved to Welch, Okla., in 1919. She received her education in the Welch community schools, graduating with the Senior Class of 1933. She was employed first at the Eastern State Hospital in Vinita for four years before moving to Parsons, Kan., where she worked with the J. C. Penney Co. in 1943. In 1945, she was transferred to Bartlesville by the J. C. Penney Co.
She married Abe Newton "Slim" Bolinger April 13, 1944 in Bartlesville. She joined the Union Bank and Trust Co. and worked there for 33 years until retiring in 1981.
Mr. Bolinger preceded her in death April 2, 1972, in Bartlesville. Mrs. Bolinger continued living here.
Mrs. Bolinger was a member of the Bartlesville Rebecca Lodge, the Bartlesville Art Association and the Bartlesville China Painters.
Mrs. Bolinger will lie in state in the drawing rooms of The Arnold Moore Funeral residence where friends may visit until Tuesday's service.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Edna Opal Slate of Westville, Okla., and Mrs. Iva Elizabeth Fair of Bartlesville; eight nieces; two nephews, five step-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law. Two brothers, Leslie Wagner and Hubert D. Wagner preceded her in death.
