George W. Parker was a locksmith by trade. He never married but did have a life long girlfriend Cathleen Jenkins who it has been reported he had a son with. Uncle George had 1 sister and 2 brothers. Leila, General A. J. Parker (he was not an actual general) and Jerry Parker. All were born in or around Water Valley, Ms. Uncle George traveled quite a bit and had traveled to California to visit Cathleen when he died and was buried there. Uncle George's grandfather was Rev. Martin Parker who was the minister of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Pine Valley, Ms. until his death. Rev. Martin Parker and his sister Elizabeth Parker Castleberry are buried in the church cemetery at Tabernacle.
