Sarah Jane Floyd and Casey Lasater were married in 1857. They had ten children. Only one daughter, Telia Webb, was living at the time of Sarah Jane's death.
While dressing on 5 January 1924, Sarah Jane was near the fire and her clothing accidentally caught fire. She suffered severe burns before the fire was extinguished and died as a result of those injuries.
She was survived by one daughter, a son-in-law, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
∼Sarah Jane Floyd was born in Kentucky, November 18, 1839; departed this life at the home of her daughter, Telia Webb, January 8;, 1924, aged 84 years, 1 month and 20 days.

Grandma is the last of the Floyds.

Grandma has been a member of the Albion church for a number of years.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. C. M. Prince at Albion and the body was laid to rest at that place.
