William A. Kantner, known for twenty five years as a citizen of Juniata, died last evening at 5:15 o'clock in the county hospital, of paresis. The deceased was in failing health for a couple of years past and unable to work. His decline was of late rapid and for three days previous to his death he was unconscious.

Mr. Kantner was born in this county on November 3, 1871, and lived the greater part of his life in Juniata borough, where he leaves many warm friends. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Kantner, and two children-Ira and Mary-both at home; also surviving are two sisters and one brother-Mrs. Mary Sipes and Mrs. Lewis Reed, both of South Altoona, and Asbury Kantner, of Duncansville. Also by his step mother, Mrs. Ellen Kantner, and one half brother Edward Kantner, both of this city.

Mr. Kantner was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal church of Juniata; Wopsononock tribe of Red Men and Camp 635, P.O.S. of A.

Funeral services will be held in his late home at 913 Second avenue, Juniata, on Sunday afternoon at 2:30, and will be conducted by the Rev. Alexander Lamberson. Interment will be made in Greenwood cemetery.
