Connie Albright Archie, 87, of China Grove, died Friday, Aug. 29, 2003 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Concord after a period of declining health. Born Jan. 22, 1916 in Landis to the late Albert W. and Mary Ada Holdbrook Albright, she attended Farm Life School and graduated from Landis High School. A member of Mt. Zion United Church of Christ, Mrs. Archie was retired from Fieldcrest Cannon, where she worked in the sewing room. She was married to Earl Levi Archie, who preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 1995. Mrs. Archie is survived by a sister, Mary Basinger of Elizabeth City and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were Monday, Sept. 1 at Mt. Zion United Church of Christ. Burial followed in Greenlawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Mt. Zion United Church of Christ Choir Fund, P.O. Box 1298, China Grove, NC 28023.
