From the Dallas Morning News, Saturday, October 19, 1940, Sec. 2, p. 9:

Robert Minor Goyne, 62, former Dallas wholesale grocery man, died Friday in a Fort Worth hospital followign an illness of several weeks. He had lived in Tyler since 1933, where he moved from Dallas.

Mr. Goyne entered the wholesale grocry business in Fort Worth as an office boy with the Carter-Battle Company and later was with the Waples-Platter Grocery Company there. He came to Dallas with the Webster Grocery Company and later was an executive of E. A. Johnson & Company here. He owned his own wholesale grocery company in Tyler.

Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. C. H. Jones and Mrs. J. L. Hightower, both of Eldorado, Ark., and Mrs. W. E. Rushing and Mrs. J. L. Rushing, also of Arkansas.

Services will be conducted in the Secrest-Crowder Funeral Home in Fort Worth at 2:30 p.m. Saturday by Dr. Wallace Bassett. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery there.

Pallbearers will be J. W. Shubert and Walter Bell of Fort Worth, M. H. Leech, G. N. Robinson and E. L. Rippy of Dallas, and W. M. McLendon of Tyler.
