Death of Henry Stahlheber Sr.
Henry Stahlheber died suddenly of heart failure at his home southeast of town Sunday evening about 5 o'clock. He had been in his usual health up to within a short time of his death. The deceased was the father of twenty-four children, fifteen of which were by his divorced wife who has been an honored resident of our city for twenty years and nine by the second wife. The funeral was held Tuesday and was conducted by Rev. Meeder, of the Evangelical Church.

The officiant was Pastor Poeppel. The witnesses were Johann Kring, master smith, and Georg Schweickart, small farm owner, both from Kemmoden. The civil marriage license was issued on 28 December 1866. The couple were married without dispensation or denunciation.
