According to Jessie Easley Palmer, Jessie Easley's daughter, Docia was living with her son, Jessie, in Dublin when she died about 1885. She was buried in an unmarked grave next to Jessie.

Docia Fanning married William Easley Nov. 24, 1849 in Washington county, Arkansas. (Marriage Book A-178) It is believed that Fanning was not her maiden name but the name of her divorced husband.
William Easley was a member of the Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church. In November 1849 "by request", the church agreed to release brother William Easley as their church clerk. In the following February 1850, "the church agree to take up a charge against Bro. Wm. Easley for marrying a divorced woman. The church agree to withdraw the hand of fellowship from Bro. Wm. Easley on the above charge". In September 1851 William was received back into the church by recantation.

The 1850 census of Benton county, Arkansas shows William & Docia Easley's blended family. Children with last name listed as "do" (ditto) include Livinia, Jane, James, Eliza, Nancy and Joseph. Most are gone by 1860. The 1870 census shows Sarah Blevins, age 11, "living at home with grandmother".

"Daniel Lynch had a daughter Deratia (Dosia) Lynch that married Davis Fanning, son of Joseph and Barbara in Morgan Co., Illinois. The Lynchs and Fannings apparently moved together to NW Arkansas. Davis Fanning shows on tax lists there but not in any census.
Doshia divorced Davis Fanning and married an Easley in late 1849, in Washington County, Arkansas....
There is an interesting story about how Davis Fanning died."
