Mrs. Strayhorn married Wiley Groom Forson on 17 October 1911 at Hamilton, Texas and he abandoned his wife and separated from her on 29 March 1912.
Mrs. Fannie Forson died at the home of her son. Graveside services were officiated by Rev. G.W. Black.
Mrs. Forson was better known as Mrs. Strayhorn. She moved to Young County, Texas in the early 1880s with her parents. She was married to a Mr. Allen at Georgia and to this union was born a son, Lee Allen, with whom she was living at the time of her death. Lee was in the Graham hospital suffering from an accident while working at a gin last week when he had one of his hands torn up completely.
Survived by one son - Lee Allen; two brothers - J.W. Bray and L.H. Bray; two sisters - Mrs. W.T. Walker and Mrs. J.M. Garrett
Early in life, Mrs. Forson united with the Baptist Church and was a consistent member until her death.
