DALHART - Melba Freeman, 68, died Wednesday, July 14, 2010.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart with Douglas Brown, chaplain of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice's Dalhart Unit, officiating. Arrangements are by Horizon Funeral Home.
Mrs. Freeman was born Feb. 8, 1942, in Holdenville, Okla., to Walter and Eula Morris Arnold. She married Billy Dean Freeman on Sept. 30, 1974.
Survivors include a son, Jeffrey Freeman of Dalhart; and a sister, Beth Leewright of Holdenville.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Special Olympics-Texas Area 16, 203 W. Eighth Ave., Suite 400, Amarillo, TX 79101.
