Mrs. Bertie May Southerland, wife of Clarence Southerland died of heart failure at her home in
Manzanola, Colorado, August 14, 1932, at the age of 53 years and 21 She was born July 24, 1879, at Huntsville, Madison County, Ark., and lived in that county until after reaching womanhood. She was converted and baptised at the age of 16 years, and united with the First Baptist church at Rock House, Ark. She was married to Clarence S. Southerland, Dec. 30, 1900, who with their ten children survive. The children are, Mrs. W. C. Baldwin of Greeley, Colo; Mrs.
Farl Boatright, Berryville, and V V.; 0. F..; Hazel, Iris, Clarence Jr., Hesse, Ollie May and Georgia
Pearl all of Manzanola, Colo. She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. A. A. Myers of Washburn,
Missouri, and four brothers, Oscar and Carl Myers, Eureka Springs; Roy Myers, Tulsa, Okla., and Arthur Myers, Washburn, Mo. Funeral services were held at Rocky Ford, Colorado, at the First Baptist church by Rev. McBride, August 17, and the body sent to Berryville Friday where
services, conducted by Rev. J. H. P. Jones, a friend of the family, and Rev. W. 0. Taylor, pastor of
the local church were held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock and interment was in the local I. O. O. F. cemetery under the direction of the Atkinson Funeral Home.
