Mrs. Margaret Jones, wife of Merle Jones of 611 West Columbia St., died this morning at 10:35 o'clock in St. Francis hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack in her home. Mrs. Jones, 63 last Aug. 25, was born in Irving, daughter of Melvin and Etta Oller Taylor, she came to Litchfield from Witt in 1930 and for a number of years was employed by Brown Shoe Co. here until the factory was closed. In recent years she had been employed as a bartender in the Y-Knot tavern.

Her first husband, Edwin Fogle, died Dec. 9,1953. In April, 1962, she married Merle Jones in Corinth, Miss. she was a member of the Women of the Moose Here.

Besides her husband, she leaves two sons from her former marriage, Warren Fogle of Litchfield and Eugene Fogle of Murray, Ky; with eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She also leaves her mother Etta Walcher, and two sister, Mrs. Genevieve Traylor and Mrs.Eva Reener, all of Litchfield.
A brother, George W. Taylor of Irving,was fatally injured in a railroad crossing accident here last June 20Th. A sister, Mrs. Marie Jett, and two other brothers, Arthur and Lewis Taylor, also preceded her in death.

Services for Mrs. Margaret E. Jones will be Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in Ross funeral home, Rev. Robert Mallicoat, pastor of First Baptist church officiating. Burial will be in King cemetery at Irving.
