The funeral of Mrs. Carrie Hall Davis of Fort Worth was held Sunday at 2 p.m. at New York. She was fifty years old July 28, 1928. She was the eldest daughter of the late Dr. Thomas H. Hall.

She was married to Harry H. Davis at New York December 17, 1899. She had six children living, three of whom were married. She had eleven brothers and sisters, ten of whom were present at the funeral. Mrs. Katie Lou McRoberts, who waited on her during her illness in Fort Worth not being able to come. The ten were: W.D. Hall and Mrs. Marie Hughes, Dallas; Mrs. Oliver Blanks, Fort Worth; Mrs. Eugene Palmer, Tyler; Tom H., Loric P., Mitchell and H.C. Hall and Mrs. Kate Morrow, all of New York and B.C. Hall of Athens. Also their families were present.

The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. H.C. Willis, Presiding Elder of the District, assisted by the pastor, Rev. B.B. Dailey of Murchison. The sermon was very impressive and the tributes he paid to a mother was most beautiful.

Mrs. Davis was of a noble Christian character, sweet tempered, always scattering sunshine with all whom she met.
