Lamberth B. Jackson, 58, a veteran of World War I, died at the Exeter hospital yesterday afternoon.
A native of North Carolina, Mr. Jackson had lived in Exeter for eight years, making his home at 341 South Quince. In World War I, he served with a machine gun company in the Somme and Meuse-Argonne offensives and with the Army of Occupation.
He is survived by his wife, May, of Exeter, and a daughter, Mrs. Irene Awbrey of Vacaville.
Graveside services will be held at the Exeter cemetery Saturday at 10 a.m. with Jess Ward of the Exeter post of Veterans of Foreign Wars acting as chaplain.
