Randolph R. Crecraft (1847-1869) was born in the state of Ohio during the year 1847 to Albert J. Crecraft (1814- 1875) and Evelina Crecraft (1825-1878). During the American Civil War, PVT Randolph R. Crecraft served consecutively in Company "F" and in Company "H" of the 83rd Regiment of Ohio Volunteer Infantry from February 6, 1864, to July 24, 1865. On December 23, 1867, in Butler County, Ohio, Randolph R. Crecraft wed Mary Wright (Crecraft, DATES of birth & death are yet to be ascertained). Randolph and Mary (Wright) Crecraft are known to have raised at least one son, Randolph Crecraft, Jr., who became the recipient of his father's Civil War Pension (See document # 3 below). Father Randolph R. Crecraft died on November 9, 1869, in Butler County, Ohio, where he was interred at Oxford, Ohio, in Oxford Cemetery. It is not yet known whether or not widow Mary Wright Crecraft ever remarried or exactly where she and her and Randolph's son, Randolph Crecraft, Jr., are interred.
