Ernest Anderson
Ernest Anderson, 87, of East Walnut Street died today at Charleston Health Care Center.
Born Aug. 18, 1913, in Garrard County, he was the son of the late Leige and Minnie Maupin Anderson. He was a retired engineer with Southern Railway and a member of Gthsemane Baptist Church.
Survivors include . his wife, Helen Williams Anderson: a daughter, Betty Lou Perry of Danville; a son, Ernest Anderson Jr. of Shelbyville; a stepson, Jimmy Davis of Florence; a sister, Ada Hendren of Clarksville, Ind.; a brother, Howard Anderson of Lexington; a caregiver, Gladys Caddell of Danville; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a stepgrandchild; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Mark Peyton. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may go to Gethse-mane Baptist Church.
