George Bradford graduated from Harvard in 1851. He was principal of the Duxbury Academy 1851-1853. he attended harvard Divinity School and was ordained Nov. 6, 1856 At that time he becaame minister in Watertown, MA. He died Feb. 17, 1859 of Typhoid Fever. His brother, Capt. John Bradford was with his ship in New Orleans and attempted to rush to george's bedside (booking a train from New Orleans to Boston), but arrived too late.
