Albert Jr. was the son of Albert Lincoln Keedy and Mary Ann Fox Keedy. He homesteaded near Greely, CO in the years around 1915. He married Iva Barney and they had three sons, Marvin, Vernon and Lowell Dean.
OBITUARY: A.L. KEEDY
Albert Lincoln Keedy, Jr., was born December 14, 1898 to A. L. and Mary Ann Fox Keedy near Auburn, where he grew up and went to school. He was married August 28, 1919 to Iva Barney and three sons were born.
In 1943, Mr. and Mrs. Keedy moved to Chicago for a short time, returning to Lincoln a year later. He worked as a machinist for Western Electric from which he retired in 1965.
He was a member of East Lincoln Christian church, Lincoln Capitol Lodge IOOF, and Craftsman Masonic Lodge, AF-AM.
Mr. Keedy died May 6 at Holmes Lake Manor in Lincoln at the age of 75.
Survivors include his wife, Iva of Lincoln; three sons, Mervin L. of Athens, Georgia, Vernon l. of Lincoln and Lowell D. of Tecumseh, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two brothers. Thomas J. of Lucerne, Missouri, and W. W. of Liberty, three sisters, Alma Keedy and Mrs. Zelda Stuck of Auburn and Mrs. Walter Stock of Beatrice.
Funeral services were held May 9 in Lincoln, conducted by Mrs. T. V. Hubbell, with IOOF rites. Burial was in Sheridan cemetery at Auburn.
