She was born Dec. 1, 1912, in Clayton to Joseph Thomas and Lois Brown Davis.
She completed school in Rabun County and married Fulton V. Lovell on May 30, 1931.
She was a successful businesswoman who ran a beauty salon for 35 years. Later, she earned a certificate in horticulture and opened Lovell Greenhouses on Lake Burton, which she operated for a number of years.
She was a member of Clayton Baptist Church and sang in the choir for 65 years. She was a charter member of the Clayton Music Club and The Song Birds.
She was preceded in death by: her husband of 47 years, Fulton Lovell; three brothers, Joseph Brown Davis, Thomas Orme Davis and John Gurley Davis.
