Mrs. C. A. Allison

Mrs. Gladys L. Allison, 65, of Avon Lake died at 3:10 a.m. Tuesday at home following a long illness. Born in St. Clair Township to the late J. Oscar Birch and Sara McClellon Birch, she resided in Avon Lake about 25 years. She was former teacher. Formerly of East Liverpool, she was graduated from the high school and Kent State University. She was a member of the First Congregational Church at Avon Lake and the Pearl Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star of Cleveland. She leaves her husband, Clarence A. Allison at home; two sons, Thomas C. Allison of Avon Lake and Burgess B. Allison of Norfolk, Va.; three sisters, Mrs. Merle Hanes and Miss Margaret M. Birch, both of East Liverpool and Mrs. Ruby Boyle of Alliance; three brothers, Robert Birch, Lester Birch and C. McClellon Birch, all of East Liverpool, and six grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Burmeister Funeral Home in Avon Lake by the Rev. Kenneth Mesle. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery, Wellsville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. today and Thursday.
