Martha Johnson, 92, of Waco, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2010, at a local nursing home. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 17, at Bellmead Funeral Home with the Rev. Lester Adams officiating. Burial will be at Friedens Cemetery in Riesel. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 16, at the funeral home.
Martha Emma was born in Waco, Texas, to the late Henry August and Helena Katherine (Lange) Engelke. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond F., on Dec. 13, 2007; and a sister, Lena Kuehn.
Survivors include her son, Ray Johnson Jr., of Mission Hills, Calif.; sisters, Helen Doyle, of Houston, Alma Uptmore, of Waco; brothers, Arthur Engelke and wife, Janie, of Gholson, Louis Engelke, of Shirtz, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
