Elizabeth Strausbaugh was born in Harrison county, Ohio, September 5, 1844. She was married to Abraham Strausbaugh at Matamora, Ill., and was the mother of five children, two of whom died in early life. Two sons and one daughter remain to mourn her loss. She died on March 16, 1908, at the age of 63 years, 6 months and 12 days. She was a respectable member of the Methodist church since childhood. The funeral took place at the home of the deceased, attended by a large number of friends and neighbors, which speaks well of the esteem in which Mrs. Strausbaugh was held. Rev. A. I. Ferch, of the United Evangelical church, conducted the service, assisted by Rev. S. M. Zike, of the United Brethren church. Published in the Kearney Daily Hub, Thursday, March 19, 1908.
