James C. Hammons, 62, Plainfield, passed away July 7, 2010. He was born in London Kentucky June 14, 1948 to the late Clyde and Bertha Hammons. He is survived my companion, Monica Owens.

Other survivors include; son, Joe Hammons; daughter, Paula J. Hammons; sister, Norma (Larry) Dickey and granddaughter, Brandy M. Faught. He is preceded in death by a sister, Betty Hammons.

James previously worked as a fork lift driver for Arvin Meritor.
He enjoyed fishing and riding his motorcycle.

Friends may call Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory Stirling-Gerber Chapel, 5950 E. Thompson Rd. Mr. Dave Packwood will conduct a service Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be at London Cemetery
