T.G. was a lifelong resident of Plant City, a WWII Navy SeaBee Veteran, and a member of Plant City's First Baptist Church. He built and operated the first public swimming pool and skating rink in east Hillsborough County, along with other business interests. He was a champion swimmer in his youth and taught numerous children how to swim. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M, July 3, 2010 at Cornerstone Center with Reverend Tommy Warnock officiating.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, LaVerne; sons Rick (Leslie) and Roy (Mamie); daughter TobeAnna Robinson; grandchildren Kiley and Ashlyn Robinson; and sister in law Margaret Gibbs.

I want to thank T.G. for myself and the hundreds of others that went to his skating rink for many years. There was not a lot to do in Plant City back in the 50's, but you could always go skating at T.G.'s where it was well run and safe for all ages. PS, I still have the skates you sold me in 1957.
