About three weeks before his death Mr. Elliott made a profession of his faith and united with the Presbyterian Church. He died of consumption after a long sickness and died happy in his faith in Christ. he was 35 years 11 months and 23 days old. Funeral services by Pastor J.J. Francis assisted by Rev. Mr. Roller.
