J. W. McCue Buried in
Edgar Tuesday Afternoon

J. W. McCue, formerly of Hastings and Edgar vicinity, died Wednesday, January 3, 1945, in Creston, Iowa, at 2:00 p.m. He was born in Marengo, Illinois, in 1874, and came to Adams County as a small boy. After his marriage 25 years ago, he moved to Creston.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Helen; one son, Galen; three brothers, Milton G. McCue of Hastings, Thad McCue of Kearney and Harry McCue of San Bernardino, California; and two sisters, Mrs. G. R. Woods of Plattsmouth and Miss Delle McCue of Chicago, Illinois. Another sister, Miss Nannie McCue, died in Eugene Oregon, and was buried in Hastings, December 24.

Funeral services were held in Creston, Monday afternoon. The body was brought to Edgar Tuesday afternoon and commitment services were held at the grave in charge of the Masonic Lodge of Edgar.
