Barbara Marie Barnard Luci, 73 years old, passed away on June 29, 2010. She was a native of Georgia and had lived in Jacksonville, FL for the past 22 years. She was married to Luigi Luci for 55 years. As a military family , they lived in several parts of the world including the Far East before making Florida their home, where she worked as a licensed cosmetologist. Bobbie, as she was known to by many, will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and a dear friend to all who shared her life; she will be missed by all. Mrs. Luci was preceded in death by her parents, Everett Russell Barnard and Annie Maude Purvis Barnard, brothers Cameron and Bobby Barnard, sisters Thelma Howard, Annie McCutchen, Fannie Fullwood, Lavern Varnadore Danley, Nora Lee Cobb Curtis, Dorothy Shirley, and Maggie Lane Pickel. She is survived by a son, Mark Louis Luci of Jacksonville and a daughter Lucette Marie Lucci of Orlando FL., and 2 grandchildren, Courtney Marie Arthur and Chad Michael Arthur, and 2 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11AM Friday, July 9, 2010 in the chapel at Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park. FL. Mrs. Luci will be laid to rest with her husband at Jacksonville Memory Gardens. Family members will receive guests prior to the service from 10AM-11AM at the funeral home.
