Marjorie C. Barraclough Riley
Marjorie C. Riley, a former resident of Kingman died recently in Staunton, Va. She was born and raised in North Platte, Neb., and married Max H. Riley of Frazeysburg, Ohio, on Dec. 2, 1941.
While Max served in the Navy during WWII, Marjorie volunteered at the North Platte Canteen when unable to join him. Following the war, they lived in North Platte until 1962 and then moved to Southern California. Following his death, Marjorie moved to Kingman.
While in Kingman, she worked as a volunteer for the Pink Ladies organization at Kingman Regional Hospital and participated in the Senior Citizens club while it was active. Failing health compelled her to move from Kingman to live with family until her passing.
She is survived by five children, Patricia Riley Johns of Port Orchard, Wash., Michael Riley of Simi Valley, Calif., Walter Riley of Manhattan Beach, Calif., Roberta Riley-McGhee of Staunton, and Christine Riley Cummins of Henderson, Nev. Her grandchildren include Michelle Johns Wyatt; Brian, Tim, Joshua, Geoffrey and Meghan Riley; Catie McGhee Morgan; Jessica McGhee; and Justin, Christopher, Amanda and Sara Cummins. Her great-grandchildren include, Paden and Landen Riley, Dominic, Ashley and Julia Gillies-Cummins, and Faith, Tyler and Ryan Cummins.
Marjorie was interred with her husband at Pacific Crest Cemetery in Redondo Beach, Calif.
