was in the Indian War of 1795 against Creek Indians. He was a private in the 14th Regiment of the US infantry. He enlisted in Lewisburg,VA in Aug. 1795 for three years. He served three years and was Honorably Discharged at Ft. Williams in Georgia in Aug.1798.
In the War of 1812,he was mustered in at Newport, KY on Aug 31,1813 for 3 years. He was discharged Nov.4,1813. He was a Lieutenant in Captain William Wood's Company of the KY Mounted Volunteers Militia, 7th Regiment, Commanded by Colonel Michael Taul under Gen.William Henry Harrison. he was discharged due to an ankle injury. He was 6 ft. tall, slender,fair complexion, blue eyes and black hair. Was in "The Battle of the Thames, Canada. His Regiment was the group that attached the indians fighting under Chief Tecumseh. Tecumseh was killed in this Battle. The rest of the U.S. Army fought the Red Coats in this Battle.
