Harry E Frew, 70, a longtime Knoxville resident, died Saturday 3 PM, 1 Nov 1958, at St. Anthony's Hospital, Alton, following a short illness. Mr. Frew, a retired plumber, had resided at Godfrey, near Alton, for two months.
Funeral services were held at Klinck Chapel, Knoxville, with burial in Knoxville Cemetery.
Mr. Frew was born at Elmwood 21 Oct 1898, the son of Alexander and Mary Frew. On 8 Aug 1909 he was married in Knoxville to Viola Means. They had resided at 319 E. North Street. Mr. Frew had been a member of the Elmwood Congregational Church. Surviving are his wife and one daughter, Mrs. Lois E. Reynolds, of Godfrey.
