Funeral services were conducted here Wednesday at 3 p.m. for W.H. Ground who passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. S.A. Eddings west of town Tuesday. He had been practically an invalid for more than a year.

The services were conducted at the Church of Christ by the pastor, W. Wallace Layton, and interment was made in Citizens cemetery beside his wife who passed away in 1932. He was 81 years, 6 months and 16 days of age at his death.

Surviving are two daughters. They are Mrs. Offie Eddings of near Clarendon, and Mrs. Mary Gerner of Dallas. Seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren survive.

Mr. Ground moved to Donley county in 1909 from Archer county where he had resided since 1870, and where he married. He was always numbered among the most substantial farmers of this county, a leading citizen of moral worth and enjoyed a large circle of loyal friends all through the years.
