Mrs. Carris [sic] French, wife of Richard C. French, died Tuesday, December the eighth, at Ft. Worth; and was buried here Thursday, December 10th. The funeral services were conducted in the French home by the Reverend A.B. Crocker, pastor of the First Christian Church at one o'clock.

Mrs. French was born December 14, 1888, in Tate County, Mississippi. She joined the First Christian Church during her girlhood. She was married to Richard C. French in June of 1908. They had one child, a son. The family moved to Texas in 1914, and in 1917 moved to Clarendon from Jayton, Texas.

Mrs. French has been an invalid for almost two years, and has been very seriously ill for three months. She was taken to Ft. Worth for medical treatment Monday evening, and the following afternoon she died. She is survived by her husband, her son Elvis, her father, four sisters, and a brother.

Floral offerings were beautiful and so profuse that the grave in the Citizens Cemetery was entirely covered.
