Betty Irene Anderson Bock was born December 22, 1933 to Anders Emil and Eva (Overmeyer) Anderson in New Avon Township. At 2 months of age she moved with her family to a family farm until the time of her marriage. She attended Wabasso Public School, graduating in 1951 and attended Teachers Training in Lamberton. Betty taught country school for 2 years in district 57 and 78. On June 19, 1954 she married LeRoy Arthur Bock at New Avon United Methodist Church. They farmed together with Milan Bock until they purchased their own farm. Betty was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lamberton. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, reading, spending time with her grandchildren; volunteering, genealogy, photo albums, and letter writing.

She is survived by her children – Perry (Patti) Bock of New Ulm, Janet (Bart) Bushinger of Champlin and Wallace (Becky) Bock of Marshall; grandchildren – Perry Jr. and Rosella Bock, Kayla and Nicholas Bushinger, and Meredith Bock; sister – Nelda Simning; a brother – Dallas (Bensie) Anderson; brothers-in-law – Alvin (Faith) Bock and Glen (Shirley) Bock; sisters-in-law – Beulah Thomssen and Ruth (John) Maras; and many cousins in the U.S. and Sweden. She was preceded in death by her husband – LeRoy; parents – Anders and Eva Anderson; mother and father-in-law – Richard and Alma Bock; brothers-in-law – Douglas Simning, Milan Bock, and Gordon Thomssen.

Betty was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lamberton. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, reading, spending time with her grandchildren; volunteering, genealogy, photo albums, and letter writing.
