Merrell Holman, 89, California, PA, died Weds., July 7, 2010 at home. For over thirty years she was a professor at California Univ. of PA where she was the Director of Noss Laboratory School and also supervised student teachers and designed and taught in the graduate school principal's program before her retirement. Surviving is a son, B. Kirk Holman (Terri), California, PA; grandsons, Charles B. Holman and James A. Holman; 2 'adopted sons': SCPO Robert Sumara, U.S.N., Pomfret, MD and Earl Simon Tucker, Washington, DC; nieces and nephews, including Diane Lutes, Lou Cynda Putnam and Libby Ann Holman. Predeceased by husband, W. Byron Holman, 2003. Greenlee Funeral Home, Beallsville, PA. Private interment, LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.
