She was buried beside her husband in the Seneca Cemetery in Seneca, Newton, Missouri.

She was the second wife of David Bryant Mills whose first wife died in Jan 1918. Stella and David married about July 1918. They had no children but she helped raise David's three children from his first wife and after 1930, two orphan boys, Henry and Virgil Harkey.



She married her step-brother (son of her mother's second husband).
