Mr. Fendall E. Alexander, a well-known resident of Georgetown, died Friday morning at his residence, 1647 39th Street, after an illness of some time. Bright's disease was the immediate cause of his death and for some time past all hopes of saving his life was despaired of. Mr. Alexander was the son of Mr. Columbus Alexander, about the wealthiest resident of this section of the city and was a favorite of his father, living at his magnificent home on Georgetown Heights, just opposite the entrance to Oak Hill Cemetery. The deceased was a practicing lawyer and enjoyed a large patronage.

He was one of the leading members of Trinity Catholic Church and identified with many of the societies connected with the church. He was President of the local conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul and was also at one time the head of the men's sodality. His funeral was held this morning at 10 o'clock from Trinity Church with a solemn mass of requiem. A large number of people attended the funeral, paying the last mark of respect to the memory of the deceased.
