Just before going to press the Democrat learns of the death of Leroy Denny, one of the oldest and best known citizens of the county, which occurred in a hospital at Little Rock where he had been taken for treatment. His remains will be interred today near his home on War Eagle a few miles southwest of Clifty.
Huntsville Democrat, 22 January 1915: Leroy Denny died at his home near War Eagle and was buried at the Wade Cemetery. He was about 80 years old and had lived a Christian life since boyhood. We shall miss Uncle Leroy very much. (He was not buried at Wade Cemetery as stated)
