Shelby, NC, July 18-Mr. Robert K. Wells, one of Cleveland's foremost and most widely known and influential citizens, passed away Wednesday night after a lingering illness, aged 76 years. He was buried at Mt. Harmony Church, where for many years he had been one of its staunchest and most valued members. He was a gentleman of the old school, quiet, modest, unassuming, but of that magnificent libre that stamped him as one of nature's noblemen.
