Mrs Epsie Poe Dies in West Plains
Funeral services for Epsie Ellen Elzara Poe, 83, Udall, were held Sunday in West Plains with Evbangelist Neale Phipps officiating.
Mrs Poe died last Thursday in West Vue Nursing Home, West Plains, following and extended illness. She was a member of the Churchof Christ.
Mrs Poe was born July 14, 1886 at Hand, Ark,the daughter of Edward and Ellen Miser Anderson. She was married to William Jarrett Poe on March 5, 1905. He preceded her in death Dec. 21, 1943.
Survivors are four sons, Earnest, Howards Ridge, Cleo, Gainesville, Vernon and Willie, both of Udall; one daughter
Mrs Eula Pleasant, Albuquerque, N.M.; one brother, Will Anderson, Bakersfield; two sisters, Mrs Flora Davis, Amagon, Ark., and Mrs Bertie Lamberson, state of Oklahoma; two half-brothers, John Anderson, Capron, Ill. and Otis Anderson, Villa Ridge, MO.; one half-sister, Mrs Barbara Bassett, West Plains; her stepmother, Mrs Jane Joice, West Plains; 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Burial was in the Udall Cemetery. The pallbearers were Jimmie , Bernie and Walter Poe, Virdo Anderson, Virgil Davis and Zell Davenport.
