William R. Perry, a former well-known Colorado politician but for twelve years an invalid, died Sunday evening at the home of his brother, John A. Perry, at 1280 Gilpin street. He was 52 years of age.

Several days ago, when Perry's condition became serious, he expressed a desire to see his daughter, Mrs. Frank W. Frueauff, wife of the general manager of the Gas and Electric company. She was in New York. Upon receiving word that her father was dying, she came immediately to Denver. She arrived yesterday afternoon, just a few hours before her father's death.

Perry was born in Lyons, Kan., and came to Denver with his parents when he was 3 years old. He was a graduate of the St. Louis university. For many years he took a prominent part in local politics, though he held public office only once. He is survived by his daughter, mother and brother. The funeral services will be held from the family residence, 1280 Gilpin street, at 9 o'clock Thursday morning. Church services will be conducted at Logan avenue chapel, Eighteenth and Logan, at 9:30 o'clock.

The death of Will Perry caused general regret among his many friends in Denver. While it was generally known that he had been an invalid for several years, still his death came as a shock even to his most intimate friends. A sudden attack of apoplexy last week hastened the end.
