Obituary:
The funeral services of Mrs. Minnie Massey of Dry Fork, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Rowley of Maeser, were held last Wednesday in the new schoolhouse of Dry Fork. The building was filled to overflowing although there are apparently no flowers this time of year; the casket was covered with them. Mrs. Massey was only eighteen years old. She left a little girl two years old and a baby boy born a week before her death. The Maeser Choir feelingly rendered "Nearer My God To Thee," "Wanted On The Other Side," and "Oh My Father." The speakers were Joseph P. Hacking, John L. McConkie and Thomas Bingham. All spoke words of sympathy and consolation to those bereft. Many relatives and friends from Vernal attended the services. It is reported to have been the largest funeral ever held in that locality. The remains were interred in the Dry Fork Cemetery.
