Laura Clayton Dies Saturday At Springfield

BEARDSTOWN -

Mrs. Laura Clayton, 80, of Bluff Springs, died Saturday at Memorial Hospital in Springfield.

She was born May 1, 1892, daughter of Albert and Jennie Arnoldi Jokisch.

She married Harry Clayton November 29, 1911, and he died in 1952.

She is survived by
a daughter,
Mrs. Robert (Alice) Sweatman, of Virginia;
son,
Harry of St. Louis,
and sister Mrs. Alice Tink, of Virginia.
There are two grandchildren
and four great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Bluffs Springs, and funeral services will be held there 2 p.m. Tuesday, Reverend Dan Wright officiating.

Friends may call at Cline Funeral Home in Beardstown 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. There will be no formal visitation. Burial will be in Beardstown city cemetery. Remains will be taken to the church one hour before time of services.
